Here is where we post the results from all the events and contests that we've taken part in. It's fun to see how the ACME Catapult has improved over the years!

2008 Event Results

Morton Punkin Chuckin Contest.  Took first place in Unlimited Catapult with a best throw of 1935 feet.

Mauston WI Pumpkin Bash.  Saturday and Sunday.  Hurled over 100 pumpkins at several target cars to help raise money for the local 4H Club.  The kids had a great time!

Motorola Tundra Cell Phone Test.  (December 2008) Hurled 15 pound watermelons with ”Tundra” cell phones duct taped to them to promote how tough this phone really is. 

 

2007 Event Results

Fall Ball Fling in Nekoosa WI.  Took first place for the event after throwing appliances and hitting the target truck on Saturday and hurling a bowling ball about 1850 feet on Sunday.

Morton Punkin Chuckin Contest.  Won first place in the Unlimited Catapult Division.

Mauston WI Pumpkin Bash.   Lobbed over 100 pumpkins at the target car with a few direct hits.    

 

2006 Event Results

Morton’s Punkin Chuckin Contest.  Awarded first place for unlimited catapult.

Mauston’s WI.  The First Annual Pumpkin Bash.   Hurled over 150 pumpkins on Saturday and Sunday, hitting target haybales for the crowd.

October 2005: Newell Open House, Champaign Illinois

  • Threw big orange pumpkins in the parking lot
  • Left a big mess and they loved it!

October 2005: Punkin Chunkin Contest, Green Acres Farm, Morton Illinois

  • First place in Catapult division and new Morton record of 2066 feet

October 2005: Country Corner, Alpha Illinois

  • World record attempt foiled by broken cable and headwinds
  • Best shot on Sunday of 1920 feet

August 2005: “My Kind of Town” TV Show taping, Mt Horeb Wisconsin

  • Hurled a 120 lb clothes dryer
  • Hurled garden tools, baskets full of clothes, other misc. stuff
  • Hurled a 200 lb riding lawn mower

October 2004: Punkin Chunkin Event, Morton Pumpkin Festival, Morton Illinois

  • First Place and World Record toss of 1860 feet

August 2004: First Annual Watermelon Wars Event, Mt Vernon Illinois

  • First Place, no official measurement (melon went beyond field)

November 2003: World Championship Punkin Chunkin Event, Sussex County Delaware

  • Second Place and tied World Record toss of 1752.81 feet

October 2003: Punkin Chunkin Event, Morton Pumpkin Festival, Morton Illinois

  • First Place toss of 1652 feet

October 9th 2003: The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Hollywood California

  • Hurled a 200 lb washing machine 300 feet
  • Hurled a 200 lb refrigerator 300 feet
  • Dolly Parton helped us hurl 200 lbs of melons 300 feet
  • Hurled a 200 lb dishwasher 300 feet

November 2002: World Championship Punkin Chunkin Event, Sussex County Delaware

  • Second Place toss of 1710.4 feet

October 2002: Punkin Chunkin Event, Morton Pumpkin Festival, Morton Illinois

  • First Place toss of 1603 feet

October 2001: Punkin Chunkin Event, Morton Pumpkin Festival, Morton Illinois

  • First Place toss of 1748 feet

November 2000: World Championship Punkin Chunkin Event, Sussex County Delaware

  • First Place and World Record toss of 1603 feet

October 1999: Punkin Chunkin Event, Morton Pumpkin Festival, Morton Illinois

  • First Place toss of 1405 feet
